A Princess, a Warrior and the Dragon

I was told to write a story
about a princess
a warrior
and a dragon
Here is my story:

Once upon a time there was a princess
who lived in a castle surrounded by walls that seemed to touch the sky.
 One morning she woke
and made the decision to climb
to the highest point and look over the wall
to see what she could see.

As she was climbing the stairs she came upon a warrior.
"Where are you going, Princess?" he asked.
"To see what I can see," she replied.
The warrior followed the princess to the top most part of the castle.

The princess looked out to the west and saw a vast ocean,
to the north she saw a tall forest,
to the south a fertile meadow,
and to the east a great mountain.

"I wish to leave the castle and climb the mountain," the princess told the warrior.
"Oh, you can not leave the castle," the warrior told her,
"for a dragon lives at the base of the mountain
and he waits for those who leave."

"A dragon!" the princess cried.
But she couldn't take her eyes from the mountain.

For seven days the princess woke early and climbed the stairs
to see what she could see,
always stopping to stare at the mountain
and wishing she could leave her castle.
But each day her fear of the dragon
kept her inside.

On the eighth day
she could stand it no more.

She opened the gate and walked out of the castle.
The dragon waited, just as the warrior foretold.

"Where are you going?" the dragon asked,
licking his lips with his long red tongue.
"I want to climb the mountain," the princess replied.
"Why?" asked the dragon.
"To see what I can see," she said.

The dragon's tail twitched.
He swung his head to look at the mountain.
They he turned to the princess.

"Want a ride?" he asked.

And they soared over the mountain
and then over the ocean
and the princess
saw all she could see.

What is your princess, warrior, dragon story?
