Arizona Spring

Yes, it's spring in Arizona. The flowers are blooming.

Everything is so bright and pretty.

We even have the garden growing.
The fruit trees are filled with luscious fruit!

And so is the driveway?

Each and every year since we moved to Arizona ten years ago, our home has been "grape-fruited" - this is apparently the southwestern version of "egged." At first I thought nothing about it. Kids being kids. Only, it's every year. During the spring. On Friday evenings. And the acid from the grapefruits eats the paint off the garage and house. And now that we've started paying attention - it's only our house out of the dozens in our neighborhood.

I give!

Who are you?
And
What is the purpose?

Grrrr!

  1. Greetings D. Jean,
What brilliant photographs. A new Spring brings new hope with the its beckoning rejuvenation.
Here in England, we are now beginning to see the wonders of the awakening blossoms.
Thank you for your comment on my latest posting. It was much appreciated.

  3. Hello D. Jean, Thanks for the visit to my Retired in Alaska blog. I have so much fun with that and meeting new people. I love that heather in your top photo and the fact it's Spring there and still snowing here. We do not have Spring until the very end of May and well into June. But make up for it with only 2 hours of twilight and the rest sun all summer, things grow like crazy. I have a book club here in Homer for 9 years and before that for years in CA. Do you have any published books? Nan

  5. How irritating! We got egged in NC, a statement against the company my husband worked for. They too left white spots on the paint. Glad we didn't have to live there long! Wonder if you can rent a camera that would film? Our HOA talked about getting such a camera for our boat dock...
