Books, Books and More Books

Of course, as a writer

I'm also a reader.
Yesterday I was thinking about all of the wonderful
blogs out there with all of the great
decorating ideas

and I realized that my decorating
centers around books.

I hate to admit this but all of these are in my office/bedroom.
Novels
Non-Fiction books relating to work
Books to give writing inspiration
Several wonderful poetry collections

What am I really thinking when I look at those
beautifully decorated rooms on other people's blogs?
I'm thinking
where are the books hiding?

(These are on the 'to read' list.)

(So are these.)

Yes, I want to know
where to hide them all.
Perhaps
I just need a tutorial
to create a library.

  1. At home, books are stacked on the floor or tables here and there in just about every room. At the lake, books are stored in baskets and stacked on the floor and tables. I should think about adding book shelves and organize, because we are a family of readers, with lots of books.

  3. I know what you mean regarding the decorating magazines. I also visit my friends beautiful homes with not a book in the living room while mhy bookcase is in my living room, as well as other rooms. Sometimes I think I should get rid of the one from my LR but it's me!! Glad to hear others are like me though.

  4. OMG, You and I think SO MUCH alike... I Eat,Sleep and do nothing without a book attached to it. EVEN my gardening basket has to be large enough to accommodate the various jacketed pleasures for a leisure moment of rest... Did you read the "Lace Reader"(I LOVED the idea behind this book, BUT I wish I could edit it to be SO MUCH BETTER), but I do love it for the idea???
I am signing on as a follower because you and I think alike... I would LOVE to have you follow me and peek in now and then...
    Hugs, Donna
