What I've Been Knitting

Fall comes knocking
and even though it's still 100+ in Phoenix
I get the urge to knit.

I had a pattern in mind,
but when I found this green
the long sleeved cardigan
just didn't get me excited, too much like one I already own.

And then I decided I wanted more of a vest cardigan,
so
I went off-pattern.

A very risky choice, as I've never done so before.

But what do you think?

Besides that it's way too hot for a turtle neck and sweater still.

  2. Oh Jean Sweetie...
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pattern. How beautiful the color is, and it looks great on you. It is just so gorgeous, how I would love one of these. It is just perfect for our weather here. I haven't owned a coat since we moved here 25 years ago. I do however need a sweater on some mornings when I go into work as I go in at 5am.

Thank you for sharing. Just gorgeous. Knitting and crocheting I have not mastered. I have always been told that I have two left hands, and to put the needles down and walk away.

No hail today thank goodness. Yesterday was enough for me, no more. We are still cleaning up this evening. Lots of bushes, trees and cactus that needed to be cleaned up. Not to mention the gutters had to be cleaned out.

Have a great Thursday sweetie. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

  5. Dear Jean - What a great green you selected! And I love the vest you designed - very original and one-of-a-kind. Does it now give you confidence to try other items off-pattern? Have a lovely day!
