I'm Falling in Love

I do not know if any of my followers are still around.
It has been a drought
of thought
that's for sure.
But . . .
My life has taken a turn -
and has driven,
flown,
and
blown
its way to
Minnesota.
I know right!
So I've come home after almost 40 years.
The good news is,
part of the reason for the return is so I can write full time.
I'm feeling blessed by this change
and the leaves on the trees have changed color
putting on their most fabulous dresses
as if for the coming home party of the year.
So beautiful!
So lovely!
So . . .
much to do.

But I'll be back
again soon,
I promise!

Pink? Where?

Happy, Happy Pink Day Everyone!

Yes, once again it's time to link with our friend
So I looked around for some pink.
I found red,
remember these?

They are on my feet.
And of course, I found black and white.
I've got this around my neck.
I'm also wearing my sweater a lot these days.

Yep, I'm in Minnesota.
Where I can't find a single pink right now.
(I'm so very glad I knit - brrrrrr)

LOL, so here's a flower.
It reminds me of warmth.

Feeling Loony

As I mentioned yesterday,
I'm baaaack,
but I have one more Minnesota post.
From our last day.
My brothers, my husband and I rented a pontoon boat
on Lake Mary.
We had a great time.

My hubby

Oldest Youngest Brother

Younger Youngest Brother

and me.
We saw:

Sorry it's blurry, but he was a great fishing dog that passed by us on the water.

And we saw:

And eagle's nest with two fledglings.

And of course, a loon
I love loons!

Incredible - right?

Apparently he had another date.

The guys (my hubby) caught some fish.

Did you notice there were two fish on the hook.
As soon as I caught this photo the Northern Pike bit the line and disappeared into the lake again.

We had a great day, but eventually we had to go home.

Zeus was happy to see his master.
I had a great week!

Hope you did too.

Being Scandinavian

I love being Scandinavian by heritage.
It has always been important to me.
Which is why, I guess, I spend time Scandi-crafting.
For example:

My Christmas socks.

I love the pattern.

I've also tried my hand at the following:

Up close:

A Swedish Embroidery Afghan

And, of course, Hardinger Embroidery too.

I also make Krumkaka.
it's pronounced krum with a long 'u' sound
and yes, ka ka
like you know what.
Here's the iron I use to make these delicious little cookies.

Then I also make something with this nifty little tool.
Can you guess what?

P.S. Thanks for all your support regarding
my itsy bitsy teeny weeny
red geometric patterned bikini.  :)
