Where Oh Where?

Whew!
It's been a rough springsummer.

Everyone was so super supportive
when my father passed.

Three weeks later
my mother-in-law passed too
and left my
90 year old father-in-law
alone.

So we helped him to move closer
to us.
He wouldn't move in with us.
I guess he promised himself
he'd never live with his sons.
I offered to kick out my husband . . .
Just kidding,
And that's when he said he'd come to AZ
in JulyAugust when
the world is melting.

I found a senior apartment
and furnished the place for him
and decorated with help from my children
and hung pictures
and baked cookies
and I think life is
going to go on
for him

and for me.

Missed you all!

  2. Oh Jean Sweetie...
I am so thankful you were able to move your dear FIL close to you. How awful to be moving someone in July/August here in the valley. We have the hot temps but this darn humidity has just about killed us all. (We are not used to that.)

I have missed seeing and hearing from you as well. Please take care sweet friend. You and your family are in my prayers. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  3. Hi Jean! It's Jenny...your airplane friend.
I am so very sorry to hear about your losses this summer. Love and prayers to you. Sounds like a sweet home that you created for you father-in-law. Love to him too.
I'm officially in Arizona now. Been here two months. Yup, it's hot.

  6. Such sadness and so close together is very hard to deal with. It is good your FIL wants to remain independent.

My parents said they never wanted to be a burden to their children. I told them, they cared for me almost eighteen years, I could return the favor.

    Your photos are wonderful.

Heal, it will be hard, but you will.
